For couples who value genuine connection, covenantal love, and the presence of God woven through it all

I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s get started!

My name is Yan – wedding photographer based in Vancouver, Canada, and available worldwide. At the heart of my craft is a devotion to documenting the presence of God with intention, reverence, and artistry. It’s my joy to preserve your sacred day through the craftsmanship of visual poetry, and usher you into remembrance of your love for one another.

When I step away from the camera, you’ll find me playing my piano, drinking a flat white, or having a deep conversation with a close friend.

I can’t wait to meet you!

Less about what it was, more about how it felt.

So that when you look through your wedding album 40 years from now, you may fall in love with one another all over again.

Less about performance, more about presence.

For couples who value connection over spectacle, I'm here to notice the moments that truly matter.

Impressions

  • Working with Yan for our engagement shoot was absolutely incredible. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and customized the shoot to reflect our story. It was our first time ever doing a photoshoot, but he made us feel so comfortable. He coached us through different poses and prompts with gentlness and intentionality. When we received the photos we were so happy, as his photos authentically captured us as a couple. We don’t just have photos to look back on, but truly an enjoyable experience.

  • I was honestly a bit stressed about doing family photos, but Yan made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable. From the very beginning, he was considerate of our needs and made sure to take the time to understand what we wanted. He even helped us prepare by creating a mood board of pictures to nail down the vibe and the creative shots ahead of time. This was a total game changer, as it made choosing outfits, props, and the overall feel of the shoot so much easier. The kids took to him right away. The session felt like a breeze, with lots of laughter and a really light, joyful atmosphere throughout. He even brought a speaker to play our favourite tunes, which kept the energy, fun and relaxed. When we got the final photos, they were absolutely stunning. He truly documented memories that will cherish forever. We found our lifelong photographer.

    — The Krause Family

  • We had a photoshoot of our engagement in Vancouver capturing our last years living in the city. The wedding itself took place in Colombia, surrounded by our entire family. Yan accompanied us on this adventure, and he truly felt like part of our family. He went the extra mile, capturing moments from days before the wedding with our parents and friends. Yan made us feel secure. We knew we had entrusted the most important job to someone who knows their craft. He is an artist, and he exceeded our expectations. Even before the wedding, Yan asked questions that helped him understand our hearts. This allowed him to naturally capture memories that were uniquely ours—perhaps moments that no one else would have been sensitive to. Take Yan’s questions seriously. He genuinely wants to get to know you and your family. Getting to know him also helps you relax during the moment, knowing that he will do the best job. 200% recommended.

  • We first met early on in the planning process and Yan really took the time to get to know us and our story. He placed a lot of emphasis and care in wanting to capture our love story through his photos. Yan created such an easygoing, encouraging, and fun atmosphere where we were able to get comfortable and take some stunning photos. He struck the perfect balance in terms of being prepared and giving gentle guidance while also capturing organic and lighthearted moments. We were blown away when we saw our photos- he really has such a special and unique ability to capture so much emotion in his work. On our wedding day, it felt like we were reconnecting with a good friend.

  • Yan documented our engagement photoshoot and wedding day so beautifully. He's great at making us feel comfortable during the shoots and captured our relationship and emotions so well! He helped us plan our wedding photo timeline and made sure we have time to get some golden hour shots. He also took the extra mile to get to know our family and wedding party before the wedding day to make sure everyone feels comfortable. We love our wedding gallery and are excited to share it with our friends and family. It is everything we hoped for - Yan documented all the important and candid moments throughout our wedding day. Thank you, Yan!!
